Nic Gaunt was born on 4th September 1969 in Stourbridge UK and discovered his first passion of photography at an early age, joining his local club when he was 9. It was photography that led him to meet the love of his life and soul mate, his Ole Lady Bex, while they were both studying together. It was also around this time that he discovered his other passion that would go on to shape his later life - motorcycles.

Nic 1%er's career as a professional photographer and artist gave the opportunity for a relocation to Hong Kong for him, Bex and young daughter Cymy and Hong Kong was to be their home for over 10 years. During this time he made a wide circle of friends and of course that included Bikers, who would then become Brothers when they founded Satan's Few MC Hong Kong. After several years Satan's Few MC became Outlaws MC Prospective Chapter, with Nic 1%er as their first Chapter Boss, a position he maintained when AOA Hong Kong was granted Full Patch status in October 2017. He remained Boss until he left Hong Kong in 2021 to return to the UK.

 

During Nic 1%er's time in the Hong Kong Chapter he worked tirelessly alongside AOA Asia and Europe Bosses to help develop and strengthen the AOA Nation in Asia. He travelled extensively, visiting many Chapters and made close bonds with many Brothers along the way. He also worked hard to stay in regular contact with Brothers worldwide and shone in his role as Regional Secretary for AOA Asia.

Nic 1%er always relished any excuse to burn the candle at both ends and day or night he was always just a phone call away if any Brother needed a chat (or even better a drink!). Whether it was at the clubhouse or sitting up on his rooftop, surrounded by the skyscrapers of Hong Kong, or nestled in the corner of one of his favourite dive bars, the party never seemed to stop when Nic 1%er was around!

 

Sadly, just over a year after leaving Hong Kong and moving back to England, Brother Nic 1%er lost his battle against cancer. His passing to the Forever Chapter came as a great shock to his Brothers worldwide as he had chosen to deal with his illness on his own terms and had kept his condition to himself, preferring to continue to chat and laugh with his Brothers as he always had and not allow his illness to change that in any way.
